How it went.

What a vibe we had! Teaming up with Snowflake and Ratepay, we put together our latest Data meet-up. This was an evening of Data Engineering from Data Engineers for Data Engineers. So how did it go?

Zuma Intro.

Joe kicked us off introducing Zuma and the work we do, for those who did not already know. Highlighting our future vision for recruitment in Tech and Data in Germany. 

We prioritise community and connection building because we understand that this is where growth and innovation play!​

Ratepay's Presentation.
 
Jonathan Polyakov, Senior Data Architect and Engineer, kicked-off the evening's technical topics and set the scene for the evening!

Sharing Ratepay's evolution in data warehousing highlights our transition from on-premise systems to cloud-native architecture and the real-world challenges we encountered. 

The Data Leadership Panel.

Our data engineering leaders, discussed their experiences of navigating the cloud migration journey. They discussed the challenges they faced throughout the implementation, the lessons they learned through the process, and the business impact they have achieved.

Workshops.

Our biggest satisfaction and what we do best is making introductions and bringing people together. 

Whether you want to connect over some food or brainstorm your ideas around a whiteboard, this was the environment to do so. 

It was great see data engineers connecting.​

From gathering some great Data minds in one place we came up with the key things to consider in you Data Cloud Journey:

  • Money Matters: Figuring out how to keep cloud costs in check while still getting the most bang for your buck.

  • Growth on Rocket Fuel: How the cloud is a must-have for businesses that are exploding, letting them scale up (or down) on the fly.

  • Thinking Cloud First: It's not just about the tech, it's about changing how we think about everything; data, teamwork, and keeping things running smoothly.

  • Always levelling up: We're all about constant learning and adapting in the cloud world.
